
SHIRARAHAMA BEACH
SENJOJIKI
Sstretching out into the Pacific Ocean this soft, sandy rock dates from the Tetiary period and was formed by years and years of erosion. Thtes enormous peotrusion looks like a huge tatani mat. A beartiful sight to see.


ENGETSU ISLET
Located south, just off the coast of Rinkai inlet is a small island. 130 meters in length form north to south, 35 meters in width and is 25 meters in height. The island's offical name is Takashima. Because of eroding, the center of the island has an opening that resembles a full moon. Today, because of the resemblance people refer to the island as the Engetuto. During the summer and winter sunsets, the silhouette of the Engetuto is an example of nature's beauty.
SANDANBEKI
50 meters in height these breath-taking cliffs can be foundon the south shore of Senjojiki, Long, long ago, thsees cliffswere used as a look-out point from which swarms of fish andpassing ships were easily spotted. The face of the cliffsextends 2km from south to north. There is where one of nature's spectacular sights can be seen. The cean's black current unleashing wave after wave and sending them creashing up against the cliff.


HEISOGEN PARK
This park is found on top of a plateau from where a full panorama of the city streets can be enjoyed. On the lush, green park grounds can be found rows of cheery trees and a plum garden, not to mention seasonal flowers blossoming year round. Around the perimeter of the park runs a 2 km fieldathetic course. The natural obstacle course made from logs and rope is a fun challenge for the entire family.


ADVENTURE WORLD
This one million-square meter adventure kingdom houses more than 200 wild animals in it safari park. You can relax in the comfort and safery of your minitrain as the animals approach. There are various performances throughout the day such as "Orca"the killer whale show. This is the place where the fun never stops. The fet coaster and other rides are under the dome. Even on rainy days the adventure never stops.
GLASS BOTTOMBOAT
The boats depart from the shore at Rinkai. The tour lasts about 30 minutes. The boat's glass bottom allow you to witness the many mysteries of th deep. There is a mermaid performance, too.

Shirahama Energy Land is an amusement spot that you can learn about the relationship between the earth and the natural energy sources while playing around at this park. A simulation theater "Jurassic Tour", the eeats will move accordingly with the screenas if you are really traveling through the age of Dinosours in breathless excitement. SIGHT-SEEING FLIGHT
Shirahama, the hot springs capital is the central location for this cessna. From Shirahama this cesssna has 4 routes from which to choose. It files as far north to Hinomisaki, and as far south to Shinomisaki. The aerial view of the Nanki area is quite a spectacular sight to see.

HONKAKUJI
From the Edo period and onward the buddhist priets have collected more than 1000 rare seashells. Another name for this temple is seashell temple. This temple was named after a seashell which was discovered in Shirahama.
MINAKATA KUMAGUSU MEMORIAL MUSEUM
